The Process Of CNC Machining
1.Confirm the machining area and the specification of machined parts.
a)Firstly,determine what process has been used to process this workpiece before and what process will be used to process it, and then confirm the relationship between these processes.
b)The condition of the workpiece before.For example,it was a casting parts or a forgeable piece or a bar parts,and the shape,the dimension,the machining allowance of workpiece and so on.
c)What area and shape need to be machined in next process.
2.Confirm the clamping way of the workpiece and design the fixture.
Select and design the fixture according to machining area,locating basis and clamping requirement of the workpiece.Mostly CNC machine will use three-jaw self-centering chuck to clapm the workpiece.
3.Confirm the machining method.
a)Determining the process principle,generally there are first rough then essence, near then far,inside then outside,the least procedure section, the shortest tooling route and special cases for special treatment.
b)In order to improve the production efficiency and ensure the finish machining quality of parts, the rough machining process shall be arranged first during cutting, and a large amount of machining allowance before finish machining shall be removed in a short time, and the allowance uniformity requirements of finish machining shall be met as far as possible.When the roughing process is finished, the semi-finishing and finishing should be arranged after the tool change.The purpose of arranging semi-finishing is when the uniformity of the remaining allowance after rough processing can not meet the finishing requirements,it can arrange semi-finishing as a transitional process,so that the finishing allowance is small and uniform.
c)Near than far is according to the distance from the machining position to the tool.Generally,to shorten the tooling distance and reduce the idle time,we will machining the position that more closed with the tool when are rough machining.Near than far is good for turning processing,whhich are the cutting conditions can be improved and keeping the rigidity of the blank or semi-finished parts.
d)For the parts need to be machined both of the inside surface and the outside surface ,we should machining the inside before outside when we are planning because it is difficult to control the size and shape of the inner surface, the tool rigidity is correspondingly poor, the durability of the tip edge is reduced by the heat of cutting,and chip removal is difficult during machining.
The above principles are not set in stone,some special cases may require a flexible approach.For example,some workpiece must be finished after rough processing to ensure its processing accuracy and quality.

E,If customer need to change the shape or structure of the machined parts, generally we only need to change the program,which can save production preparation time;
F,The CNC machine has high precision and high rigidity, so that we can choose our favorable processing material dosage,which are more productivity.
G,It is conducive to the modernization of production management. CNC machine tools use digital information and standard code to process and transmit information, and use computer control methods, which lays a foundation for the integration of computer-aided design, manufacturing and management
H,Processing parts on a CNC machine tool mainly depends on the processing program. It is different from an ordinary machine tool. It does not need to be manufactured, many molds and fixtures are replaced, and the machine tool does not need to be re-adjusted frequently. Therefore, the CNC machine tool is suitable for the occasions where the processed parts are frequently replaced, that is, it is suitable for the production of single-piece, small-batch products and the development of new products, thereby shortening the production preparation cycle and saving a lot of process equipment costs.

The Advantage And The Disvantage Of Powder Spraying Technology
About the casting parts,generally we will use powder coating process to do the surface treatment,which can cover the rough surface of metal parts.Below is some information about the powder coating process.
Advantage:
1.High construction efficiency.
For coating the parts with wide place,we can use multiple electrostatic spray gun to spray the parts at the same time,which can save the coating time.
2.The quality of coating is great,such as the adhesive force ,the corrosion resistance and the physical strength.
3.A thicker coating can be obtain with one spray.
4.Powder coating can cover some defect of parts,which can not be make by painting.Also,powder coating is more environmental-frinedly because the material is nontoxic.
5.Strict environmental protection measures are not required when we do powder coating because this process is no pollution to the air.Also,it wont have the problem such as exhaust emission.

Disvantage:
1.Powder coating process is not suitable for spraying the parts with complicated structure.
2.The operator need to be very careful when spraying,otherwise,it will cause electric shock and set fire alarm.
3.The adhesion and durability are not well, and the control effect is unstable.
4.There will be dust during construction, which requires a special recovery system, which requires a large investment.
5.Paintability is worse than paint a little.

Nylon,we usually call PA66,which widely be used in making prototype,even is not as widely used as ABS,but it still is important to rapid prototyping.Below is some features of nylon made parts.
Advantage
1.High mechanical strength,nice toughness and tensile strength.
2.Great fatigue resistance.The nylon parts can retain its mechanical strength after repeated bending,so we commonly make plastic gears with nylon material.
3.High softening point and heat-resistant.
4.Good rub resistance.
5.Good corrosion resistance

Disvantage
1.Poor water absorption and dimensional stability.
2.Poor cold-resistance.
3.Poor antistatic property.

Sandblasting surface finish of prototype model

Material For Plastic prototype
Making plastic prototype commonly use ABS,PC,PMMA,Nylon,POM and so on.Below is the material performance for reference.

ABS is the abbreviation of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene plastic,which unify organically the properties of PB, PAN and PS.Therefore,ABS has good mechanical performance,such as nice impact strength,stable dimension,low water absorption, good corrosion resistance,high mechanical strength and rigidity.ABS also has great chemical properties and electrical insulation properties.For example,it can keep the shap when heating.

PC(Polycarbonate) is a transparent material that has excellent performance in mechanical property, insulating property and heat aging resistance.It usually be use for making medical prototyping and beauty equipment.

PMMA(polymethyl methacrylate),we also call it Acrylic that is a high transparency and brightness material.Main performance of PMMA is stable chemical resistance,good heat resistance and toughness,which is easy for machining and painting.

POM(polyformaldehyde) has great wear resistance,high mechanical strength and rigidness,but poor corrosion resistance and adhesiveness.

1.Pure aluminum plate;
In all of the aluminum plate series,pure aluminum plate is the one that including most aluminum,the purity can over 99%,which is widely be use for conventional industrial.Therefore,the production process of pure aluminum plate is more simple and the price is more cheap.The material code we usually use of the pure aluminum plate is 1050,1060 and 1100.

2.Aluminum alloy plate;
Aluminum alloy plate series 2 with better hardness,include cuprum about 3-5%,which is a parts of aviation material.

Aluminum alloy plate series 3,including manganese about 1-1.5%,is commonly used in making car prototype,refrigerator prototype because it has good rust protection.Except that,Aluminum3003,3004 and 3A21 is usually use for making medical prototype,home appliance and so on.

Aluminum alloy plate series 4 including silicon about 4.5-6%,is a nice corrosion resistance material that usually be used for making mechanical parts,building parts,welding parts,etc.

Aluminum alloy plate series 5,we also call it aluminium magnesium alloy because it includes magnesium element about 3-5%.The feature of aluminum alloy plate series 5 is low density,high tensile strength and elongation,so that it will be use for aviation,such as fuel tanker.Also,it is a good material for wire drawing process.

Aluminum alloy plate series 6 including magnesium,silicon and other element,has both of aluminum4 and aluminum5 ‘s advantages,also easy for coating.What we usually use is aluminum 6061 and aluminum 6063 for prototyping.

Aluminum alloy plate series 7 with high hardness,high strength and nice wear-resistant,specially the aluminum 7075, is commonly used for making aluminum alloy plane model.

1.Sand blasting
Sand blasting is a process that using the impact of the high-speed sand flow to clear and coarsen the metal’s surface,which can improve the  mechanical property of the parts’ surface and Fatigue resistance.
2.Polishing
Polishing is a process that reducing the roughness of the parts’ surface to make the parts with bright and smooth appearance by the mechanical, chemical or electrochemistry.
The main polishing process is mechanical polishing,chemical polishing and electrolytic polishing.
The aluminum parts can be close to the mirror finish of the stainless steel after mechanical polishing and electrolytic polishing.
3.Wire drawing
Wire drawing is a metal working process used to reduce the cross section of wire by pulling it through a series of dies.
4.Anodizing
Anodizing is an electrolytic passivation process used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of metal parts.Anodizing not only can solve the problems about the aluminum’s surface hardness and anti-abrasion,but also extend the service life of aluminum.
