Injection Molding Case

These are production parts, moulded in the polymer they ship in rather than a substitute. Injection moulding earns its place once volume justifies a steel tool: the tool is the main cost, and after that the price per part falls sharply.

The parts below were moulded in ABS, polypropylene, polycarbonate, nylon and POM, with glass-filled grades used where stiffness mattered. Tolerances are typically held to ±0.05 mm, varying with the shrinkage of the material and the geometry of the part.
